Writer: show/hide header footer

While writing/editing I want to be able to turn off the display (but not delete) the header and footer so I’m just working with a stream of text. Is there a way to toggle headers/footers on and off?

Update: I read in a bug report that this feature would be included in LO 5.1. I downloaded the latest (5.1.4) and can’t find the feature. Has it been added?

It’s a side effect of View - Hide Whitespace. See Hide Whitespace for how it works.
