I have numlock disabled through my window manager but when I open a LO writer document, numlock is switched on. Is there something I can do to stop this?

Don’t post twice, you create confusion and you incur the risk that high-privileged users close simultaneously different occurrences, resulting in deleting your question.
Delete the occurrence I’ve closed to prevent answers on it.
