Does LO 3.5.2 base attach to Outlook or Access files when Office x64 is loaded?
Try it, just costs a little time.
I have. When I do, I get the following message.
The connection to “LODBName” could not be established.
The connection could not be created. May be the necessary data provided is not installed.
Is this a x32/x64 incompatibility issue or something else.
Hi @John45,

I’m not sure what’s causing the connection error, but if installing the latest release doesn’t seem to fix this problem, please file a bug and provide a list of steps that can reproduce your problem. The QA team will be happy to help you track down this issue!
Please post a link to any bugs you file in a comment below using the format “fdo#123456”.
Thanks!
I discovered the answer to my original question after much experimenting. Starting with MS Office 2010? Access’ native file had the ACCDB extension rather than the MDB extension. LibreOffice only works with the MDB extension. If I convert my database to the 2003 MDB format, then LO can connect to it.
