property mapping in Calc charts

Hi,

Is there anywhere a step-by-step guide to show how the new chart property mapping works in LibO 4.3 (and more recent versions) ?

Showing a third category in a XY scattergram is a very useful addition. To my surprise I saw the announcement, read the blog entry of Markus Mohrhaupt (Property mapping in charts | moggi's blog about Libreoffice hacking) , but don’t find the property mapping in the Chart module in LibO 4.4.

My data example : I want to colour-code (or give a different icon) for each of the type categories of each varX varY combination:

country_code varX varY type
AT 31 49 C
DE 33 42 C
DK 64 36 A
ES 36 55 D
FI 57 42 B
FR 21 47 C
GR 18 53 D
HU 21 53 E
IE 35 51 B
IT 32 50 C
NL 59 38 A
PL 18 55 E
PT 10 56 D
SE 64 35 A
SI 21 55 E
UK 29 41 A

I work with LibO 4.4 under Windows

Hi - Sorry but to my knowledge, this feature is not available for this type of chart.
It is for others like Column, Bar, Pie, Bubble…

I attach an example for Column chart.

PropertyMapping2.ods

EDIT: another example for bubble chart:
BullePropertyMapping.ods

Press Ctrl+Shift+F9 to update the data

I do not know if there is somewhere documentation. You can see on the
Wiki
, but the feature is recent and still ongoing improvement…

Which are the chart types which use the new functionality ? Where do I find a useful documentation ?

Thanks, so I understand that I have to look for a bubble chart in which the bubble color , or if possible the icon used for the bubble, depends on a category.

Where do I find a guide on how to control the category, the property mapping in developer parlance ?
The offline help is not really helpful. Is there any other help on the web ?

TIA
