About optimal row height - making it stick

How can I force LO Calc to remember the optimal row height? Using LO 7.2.

Sheet has word wrap active for all cells. Password to open sheet is active.

Seems that I select the entire sheet, then on row 1, right click and select “optimal row height”. All of the rows expand as needed.

Then I’ll save the sheet and close.

When I reopen the sheet again, all of my “optimal row height” adjustments are gone!

Any fix or workaround?

Are your personal data entered?

Personal Data in LibreOffice

Not an issue in version 7.4.2.3 on Windows, be file saved as .ods or as .xlsx.

Would you share a sample file to test? Thanks.

I’m not comfortable sharing anything, because the sheet in question is my master password file.

(To all that are wondering, the computer is physically in a locked area, and accessing the file requires two long, complex passwords, along with the knowledge of exactly which file is needed, how the file is named, how to get past the encryption, and where the file is located…)

And yes, the file is saved as an .ods.

In a copy of the file, replace real data with nnn.

Here goes (hope this works)

Line height file.ods (31.7 KB)

I don’t see anything wrong with that file. How do you determine “all of my “optimal row height” adjustments are gone”? What exactly do you expect, and what is happening instead?

Look at A5 and B1.
It also happens to me.
Steps: select all, double click in the row’s headings to adjust height, save, reload (and you see the same that when opening).

Maybe: tdf#146668 and tdf#148139.

The actions you describe in your post (“Steps: select all, double click in the row’s headings to adjust height, save, reload.”) are the exact same actions that I do. Do these “steps” solve the issue for you? They don’t do anything for me…

Nothing wrong here. Tried versions from 7.1 to 7.5, Linux; all remember the row height after applying optimal row height and save/reload (and row height is also the same as after the first load).
