Not strictly a bug in LibreOffice but a warning to others who have to a Sentinel One security agent on their Windows systems.
If you open a LibreOffice file in explorer & the new auto update feature kicks off to try fetch the latest version of LO, Sentinel One will DESTROY the calc or writer file you were trying to open. No quarantine, no recycle bin, file gone forever. This has happened to me twice & the event log shows Sentinel One "kill"ing the file I was trying to open.
If you have to have Sentinel One, corporate requirement in my case, turn off the auto update feature in LibreOffice.
