Autosum and borders in Calc

Hello,

I’ve been using Calc for sometime now on both Mint and lately fedora 40 with Gnome, all good but have a couple of questions which knowledgeable users may be able to solve.

One post as these are really quite minor in nature.

Okay, when using autosum in Calc, if there are numbers to the left it will automatically encase these in an attempt to guess what it is you are adding together, if however you wish to do a column above it can be tricky to move the square box away, is there an option to switch off to allow manual dragging ?

When changing the default borders from thin to medium it works fine, is there a way to set medium as the default?

Thanks for any tips

Ignore the suggested box and select the cells in the column; the selection box will move by itself to surround your selection.

Thanks for the reply, this does indeed work.

Looking a bit closer at the cell numbers being incorporated the last cell remains outside of the red outline but is still included, pretty sure Excel does this too from memory.

Seems to only work from left to right , but that’s fine.

Cheers
