Base: Reports options

When ‘Reports’ is selected, there is only one option: ‘Use Wizard to Create Report…’. The option to ‘Create Report in Design View’ is missing.

I have converted to a ‘split’ db using HSQLDB.jar ver 2.4.0

EDIT:

In creating my ‘split’ db environment, I used the attached file as per the instructions. As you will see when you open it, the same problem exists!

mydb_wizard.odb

Hello,

Converting to split has no bearing on this. It is typically because the pane is too small:

Either use the mouse to make pane larger (cursor will change to double arrow, then drag down) or simply scroll top Tasks area:

Edit:

Don’t know where this split came from but it is not what I typically use - this one or this one.

However, even with what you posted, I don’t see a problem:

Has to be something in your system/distro.

No, I’m afraid not. If only it was that easy, I might have worked it out for myself

The option is not there.

Can you post sample DB. Given you enough Karma. Please no Confidential/Personal data. Have never heard or seen the likes.

OK, thanks for that. Strange!

I’ll have a look around my system and ‘google’ some more. I’ll post an update if I find anything.

Keep in mind this could be a distro LO version problem.

Yes, it does seem to be LO version/distro related - see link below:

https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=875688

A system update yesterday that included libreoffice (to version 5.4.4.2, build ID 1:5.4.4.1), has eradicated the problem. I’ll mark this as ‘Solved’
