This is an intermittent problem but it’s becoming more frequent. When I open Libre Writer or Calc all the entries on the toolbars are blacked out. The document itself is there on-screen and readable, but nothing in any toolbar is visible. Just a black rectangle. If in Calc I click in a cell, a black rectangle appears in the entry box above. It’s impossible to type anything.
