Calc template for independent contractor.

Hi community. I would like to see if anyone in the community can help me create a Libre Office cal sheet. I have it in .numbers file format but when trying to open it in libre office the formulas don’t work. In moving into more open source programs I would like to have a libre office version of it.

I work as a freelancer and I get paid by the minutes. So for example 0.35 a minute woule be $21 dollars an hour.

I would post an image on how its set up on numbers but basically i would have 5 columns vertically Date - > Hours - > Minutes → $ - > paid by minutes.

Then each column will have 31 rows for 31 days of a possible calendar months. My end goal is for me to input the hours worked and then it will calculate it to minutes and then $. The fifth column is where I would put the numerical value paid in minutes it could be .35 , or .45 or .65 ( these are cents but it could possible go to whole dollar amt .) you get the idea so based on that numerical value it would calculate how much money I got paid based on the hours / minutes I worked. At the end of the columns I would like to have a grand total of each of the columns hours, minutes, and $ . I’m posting a picture so you can get an idea .Screen Shot

I know people charge for this type of service. I would really love if I could get a template as I have no clue how to work with formulas and the person that created my numbers spreadsheet is no longer available.

Do not delete this one.. Duplicated of Calc template for independent contractor.

Why don’t you upload the .numbers file (change the extension to .numbers.ods to allow for uploading)? The screenshots don’t help to modify your base sheet.

That is a great idea. I did not think of that… Uploading it please wait.

hello @Barbula,

your sample looks neither well structured / organized nor calculated (may dates in sheet june, h- and $-values brutally rounded, cruel ambiguous american date format …) but if you like it that way:

sample for own enhancements …,

beware - german locale, you might need to change ‘,’ to ‘.’ and ‘;’ to ‘,’ … easy done with ctrl-h,

your sample looks more like minutes keyed in and hours calculated, one hour wouldn’t give 85 minutes, for the workflow key in hours i’d put two samples on sheet 2, beware that they are different!, you may copy what you like to the sheet to use …

fishing for compliments … srry …
if this answers your question pls. mark it by clicking the grey ‘circled-v-hook’ top left of it to turn it green,
if you like the answer pls. express that by ‘upvoting’ - the ‘^’ sign above the number of votes,
if you dislike the answer pls. express that by ‘downvoting’ - the ‘v’ sign below the number of votes, or post a comment and wait for improvements …

Hey thanks for the comments my German friend. I uploaded the spreadsheet. Please take a look at it a little bit better now. Also I don’t have enough points to upvote yet.

hi @Barbula,
yeah, looks a bit different, but LO calc doesn’t get the formulas, only values,
i think my sample carries most bricks you’ll need for your solution,
add. you should aquire some info about formulas - in the grey cells, ‘round’ - set to two instead of ‘0’, formatting, and find and replace (for the separators / locale dependent signs), but that’s all easily found in ‘ask’ and on the web …
happy hacking
one hint: functionality first, formatting second!

@newbie-02,
It seems that Ctrl + H is not needed when opening a file, but when copying from an answer or comment.
