I see this question was asked a few years back to no avail. I am equally hopeful that there is a setting I’m missing as without the ability to disable the snapping to columns, large-width column sheets become near impossible to navigate and manage.
Does anybody know of a way to disable horizontal snapping on scroll?

@LeroyG Wow, I’ve drunk good scotch younger than that bug. I’ve just speed-browsed the development docs with a view to having a hack at this myself when I have time to get stuck into c++. Although I’m sure waiting for more time is some sort of paradox, or perhaps the basis for a riddle. Thanks for the link.
