Can I get a calc cell to appear in writer?

Hi all.

I have a document that uses a spreadsheet for mail merging (to 7 other flat owners).
I’ve got the hang of that, but one document has to list each of the owners in a table.
So I thought to just use the same spreadsheet and hyperlink each cell in turn on that page.
I thought wrong.

Can anyone tell me if it’s possible to print the actual cell contents as opposed to the link?
I’ve attached one of the documents and the spreadsheet below.
In case anyone has not seen Harry Potter, all names used in the spreadsheet below are fake.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think the best option is copying the spreadsheet cell, pasting in writer with Menu/Edit/Paste special [Shift+Ctrl+V] as DDE, it is paste as a cell or several of a table, (right-click) to modify the table properties as you need, to e.g. clear the borders.

Then it’s easy to update the links in Menu/Tools/Update/Link or Menu/Edit/External links.

What you want to do is called mail merge. Since it is not useful to copy instructions you can find in the Writer Guide, I recommend you download and read the guide (follow the link).

Experiment and come back here if one or two points need explanation.
