cancel a filter in calc

I have set a filter that is now showing two filtered rows. When I follow the help and
“click inside the area where the filter was applied, then choose Data - Filter - Reset Filter.”
reset filters is greyed out.

Your cursor should be in the area for which you have set the filter.

Yes, I am doing that as I said but Reset Filters is greyed out.

The only way seems to be to select the entire spreadsheet then Fromat-Rows-Show but that affect hidden rows etc. How do I ungrey Reset filters?

We have been over and over this. Users complain constantly that ‘reset filter’ is greyed out. THIS JUST DOESN"T WORK (as stated by hundreds of users). Hopefully somebody in development will see this, take it seriously and do something about it. The only way I have been able to work around it is to click on Standard Filter (as if you are creating a new one), then on that screen there is a Clear button next to the OK button. Hit Clear, then OK. That seems to clear any filter you have going.
