Characters inserted in front of cursor

From time to time my cursor gets into a mode where, when I am typing inside a table, that the characters are inserted two characters in front of the regular cursor…and not where the cursor is. I cannot figure out how to get out of this mode!

I do not recognize any pattern for getting into this mode.
And this has happened in 3 or 4 differnet documents.

Using Windows 10, LO 7.4.1.2, save as .odt

You can see the problem in the second table, second column in the lines colored red.
Cursor-problem.odt (32.8 KB)

And we can’t figure out how to answer: edit your question (= modify it, don’t use a comment) to mention OS name, LO version and save format.
Describe as accurately as possible what you are doing before the problem (hoping it is not random). Has the cursor (mouse and/or blinking carte) any special shape (different from the ordinary cursor).
If this happens systematically on a specific file, attach it to the question (maximum 2 pages).

Maybe a zoom or Skia issue.

EDIT: I have not the Unisys CD-LIB font installed.

I used to get this in Calc sometimes. Follow @LeroyG suggestion for Skia and tick the box Force Skia software rendering

@LeroyG is probably right because there is no problem under Linux here.
Also, learn how to use styles instead of direct formatting (this is not relevant for the present problem but will make your life easier).
