Column format display issue

Hi

I just converted part of my document into 2 columns instead of 1. but most of the text now reads vertically. straight down

even though there is plenty of space on the lines, and the second column is not being used. any ideas why? or how to fix it?

Check values for:
– Paragraph indents
– Paragraph paddings
– Column spacing
– Page margins
