I cannot get conditional text to work in a mail merge.
The spreadsheet is called AfilliatedCircles_2025, the sheet is AfilliatedCircles_2013 and the field is insurance. I can see the field in the text and it is accurately reproduced, the field name (shown by a tooltip) is AfilliatedCircles_2025.AfilliatedCircles_2013.Insurance so my condition is :
[AfilliatedCircles_2025.AfilliatedCircles_2013.Insurance]==“Yes”
I then put a out a statement saying ‘Insurance YES’.
It always says the same thing regardless of what is in the insurance column in s/sheet.
I have spent a couple of hours trying every syntax possible and even asked chatgpt and it still doesn’t work. Does anyone have any ideas? The two files are attached.
