control z doesn't work

I just installed Libre Office and ctrl-z does not work. Any suggestions would be helpful. The edit menu Undo also does not work.

What kinds of editing have you done that you want to undo? Remember that saving a file will disable Undo.

At least with LibreOffice 6.4.7.2, until you close it, saving a file don’t disable Undo.
