Custom Fields in Draw

I’m creating a Version Control table in Draw and I need to add custom fields.
I don’t see the option to create and add custom fields, is it possible ?

I assume your “custom fields” are Custom Properties created by File>Properties. And yes, you’re right, there is no way in Draw to insert these fields. Please submit a bug.

Is there a reason that you aren’t doing it in Writer or Calc?

Thank you for your reply

Yes, I work in IT and I’m creating a network diagram where I need to maintain version control so it would be easier if I could have custom fields and create a master template.

I was thinking along these lines.
NetworkDiagramFieldsWriter.odt (20.6 KB)
I used the Gallery to add network objects and the connector from the gallery to connect them. I right clicked and selected Add caption to create the frame for the field. I just added simple fields from the menu for the test. It is then important to drag the frame, not the object.

Thank you , I will do that !

The enhancement request is in 53548 – Allow "Other" fields / DocInformation / custom editable fields in Draw/Impress (as in Writer)
