Data Analytics Filtering within a pivot Table

I’m taking data analytic course on coursera and using libreOffice Calc. LibreOffice LACKS video tutorials in the data analytics fields that I understand why brainless people just use google/MS Excel because it’s JUST EASY and was explained to USE THEIR software in the initial learning phase.

I’m following this video in how to make the pivot table- Which I got down with out problem but then as you get to the 0:40 Mark the instructor adds filters within a pivot table.

Scratching my head I can’t seem to replicate the same action in LibreOffice.

After the instructor Applies GOOGLE FILTERS I’m helpless after(at the 1minute mark pretty much)

I included the video link and File here:
Movie-Data-Starter-Project- with tips,practice.xlsx (164.2 KB)
I put some self note to help me-maybe it’ll help you?

Simply, How can I filter the data to show specific values within a pivot table? in this case < $10million

Right click > Filter?
Watch the video but learn from books, The Calc Guide, Chapter 9 Pivot tables, download from English documentation | LibreOffice Documentation - LibreOffice User Guides

Now, How can I add a calculated field to a pivot table? I didn’t see it in chap.9

I didn’t see any average (copied from another pivot table or not) so I had already set the 3rd Data field to calculate average by double-clicking and selecting Average, so after I filtered there was nothing else to do. There is

Calc doesn’t do calculated fields in pivot tables, see Bug 78486 - Feature Request: Add Calculated Field in PIVOT TABLE

Maybe GETPIVOTDATA helps, see Documentation/Calc Functions/GETPIVOTDATA - The Document Foundation Wiki

Calc does not have calulated pivot fields like Excel has. You need to create a calculated field in the source data and include that in your pivot table.
