Error saving - General Error. General input/output error asked before

Hi

On Linux Mint saving any LibreOffice document on our samba share gives this error. I can edit other files on the share. I can copy/cut/paste any file to the share.

I have no trouble saving LibreOffice docs on the share from a Windows machine.

LibreOffice was installed with Linux Mint 22.3 - Cinnamon 64-bit a few days ago. I have uninstalled and reinstalled LibreOffice but the problem persists.

Version: 24.2.7.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 420(Build:2)
CPU threads: 22; OS: Linux 6.14; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Ubuntu package version: 4:24.2.7-0ubuntu0.24.04.4
Calc: threaded

This same issue was raised with the same title in March 24 here but didn’t get a response.

Is there a solution?

Thank you for your response. I mount the samba share in the terminal
sudo mount.cifs //192.168.2.1/Files/ /home/user/Files -o user=user,vers=2.0,nobrl
but still LibreOffice opens in read-only mode and cannot save to the share
