I have come across a certain issue a few times now; sometimes I find myself adding additional columns to a table in calc; let’s use just 1 column as an example.
In my extra column I want to include the same formula as contained within another pre-existing column.
So, the easiest way to add this information would be to copy/paste the info from the pre-existing column using the copy/paste special (formulas) function.
Well the problem is that when I use this function, all of the formulas apply to different cells.
For example: if the extra column was added directly to the left of the pre-existing column, then the cells detailed in the formula will all have shifted 1 cell to the left also. Similarly, if the extra column was added directly to the right of the pre-existing column, then the cells detailed in the formula will all have shifted 1 cell to the right also.
I wonder if there is a fast and easy way to move all the cells detailed within a formula at the same time, without having to retype the cell names in the formula.
I know I can double click the cell containing the formula and then drag the coloured boxes that specify which cells are used in the formula, but even this can take a fair bit of time on some of the longer formulas.
Any ideas guys?
If anyone wants me to make this question more clear, I could upload an example document.
