I’m using LO 7.0 in Ubuntu 20.10. When I wanted to try formula for the first time I encountered this problem:
Same formula works just right in Writer but not in Draw. When I’m writing formula, Only a part of it is visible and there is a scroll option for the rest Also I can’t resize the formula box (See the screenshot below).

ODF means: Open Document Format. The .odt, .ods, .odp, .odg filename extension shows you: those files are ODF format.
I can resize it after switching off the property “Protect size” in the Position and Size context menu. I can set the new size value numerically, but not by drag&drop method.
The formula has a different behavior, when you create it in the Formula editor of the LO, and then you copy-paste it into the draw document.
