I have GIFs that playback fine in picture viewers, however the playback is very messy, specifically around any part of the gif that changes frame to frame, once I import the GIF into Writer. Does anyone know what i’m doing wrong?
Thankyou

For me, it plays back fine at a zoom of 100%, just not at any other zoom.
How strange - the problem occurs for me at any zoom, including 100%. I also updated LibreOffice to the most recent version, and the problem persists.
This is where it would have been useful if you had followed the instructions in the link by fpy

I have enabled the “Force Skia software rendering” option as per your instructions, however the problem persists.
Try in Safe mode, click Help > Restart in safe mode > Continue in safe mode
Are your graphics drivers up-to-date?
Are you using a 4K screen?
It plays more reliably in Impress in that I can double the size and it still plays smoothly without artefacts.
.
You could report a bug but you would need to give more details than you have here, How to Report Bugs in LibreOffice - The Document Foundation Wiki
The issue still occurs in safe mode unfortunately My graphics drivers are up to date, and game ready, not beta drivers. My screen runs at native 2560x1440p.
