How to add Writer + Calc to new Mac dock?

First day using a new mac as a lifelong Windows user. I want to add seperate icons for Libre Office Writer and Calc to my dock as I use them regularly and not any of the other sub-programs.

I have the main LibreOffice in my dock currently but I want the seperate two icons. I found this old guide suggesting using a blank template for Writer and then putting that into the doc - Add shortcut to Mac dock

I have created a blank template of a Writer document and saved it as a template. I can’t seem to figure out how to add this to the dock though. Can anyone help please? It’s probably simple but I have never used a Mac before so I don’t know what I’m doing. Thanks!
