How to import data from Calc into an existing Base table?

Hellow everyone.
I’ve tried to find a solution on how to copy multiple table entries from a Calc spreadsheet into an existing Base table.
For example i have a table with movie titles, and i want to add those titles into the existing table i got in the database.
The only viable solution i have found, is to insert the data by using the “paste special” button, but that creates a new table…and i could just merge the 2 tables but i can’t seem to find how to do that either.
So if anyone has a solution … please help

App& OS data : LibreOffice 4.4.2.2 ( i normally use the 5.x.x variant, but the paste special option is non existent in 5.x.x installed on Sabayon Linux,so now i’m on Ubuntu)

click on the base table, then use the special paste. That makes things smoother, but the popup window is the same. You should receive a window that asks whether you want to create a new table, append data, etc.

maybe the Create button is a little misleading, but Append means to add the data to an existing table.
