how to insert delta and nebula inside the basic shapes in libre impress office

Hello,
In libre impress office normally if i go to insert->objects → formula, i can type %DELTA (to get delta) and nebula(to get nebula) to get the functions/mathematical/greek functions. But now i have to make it a schematic representation, so, i have added a rectangle from basic shapes. And now inside this rectangle that i have taken from basic shapes, i want to type the formulas along with the text, but here the object option and it doesn’t show any formula option at all.
So, my question is how to type the formulas along with the text (since i have a sentence with contains text with formulas) in libre impress office.

If you just want a Δ on the text box there is no need to use a Math object: just insert it as special character. LibO have several autocorrect options that makes easy to insert special symbols and there is one for Δ: just type

:Delta:

and as soon as you type the second colon you’ll get your Δ. You can see all autocorrect options on Tools → Autocorrect → Autocorrect options → Replace tab. Be aware that the options are language sensitive: if you change text language the “names” could be different.

A Math formula is an OLE object and shapes cannot accept such an object. However you can insert both of them into the slide/drawing and group them subsequently.

But I have few questions regarding the inserting both of them into the slide and grouping them…
How can i insert both of them (ie., the mathematical equation or delta or any math object inside the basic shapes) together, and then group them subsequently…??
Can u kindly elaborate it please… since i am a newbie here …kindly…

You cannot insert a formula “inside a shape” as I already told. You can insert it into a drawing, however, and then move it to whatever position you want and groupt it together with whatever other graphic objects you choose.
Please consider to read the ‘Draw’ guide available here. The basic features of ‘Impress’ are the same, but I cannot tell you anything specific as I never use it.
