How to stop cell contents being moved when I scroll vertically?

When I use the scroll wheel on a mouse to scroll up and down a spreadsheet in Calc, the contents of the cell that the cursor is in get moved around with the scroll. Unless I notice and scroll them back to where they should be, then the contents of that cell get left in a random row. Sounds odd, I know, but ‘unrequested data randomization’ is not really a function I’m looking for in a spreadsheet program.

How do I get to have scrolling that’s just scrolling?

Could you have an accessibility feature turned on?
I turned on ClickLock in Windows 11 but I could not move a cell by just scrolling.
You can drag a cell or range by pressing Ctrl+* then dragging it somewhere else

Ah, thanks for the guide link! I’ll edit the main post. I don’t have any accessibility features turned on in Windows, and if this is something in LibreOffice, I don’t know enough to have turned it on.

Check sticky keys in Windows, it can be turned on accidentally
.
Click Help - About LibreOffice, click the icon in the dialogue just after "Version information* to copy the details. Paste the details on your question or a comment

Heh, apols all, wrong free office suite - I’ve been trying out several and this is happening in a different one - this is not a LibreOffice problem.

No worries. We’ll be delighted to welcome you back once you have settled on LibreOffice
