I have been unable to figure out how to insert page numbers. The instructions how to insert page numbers are pathetic/incomprehensible/unrelated to options at each step. What am I supposed to do?

I am unable to update Libre Office in OS10.10.3 . I’m told to update. I download the software, but cannot find where it is. It’s not in any download folder. There’s no installer. There’s no sequence of instructions. Just download, seek help, download, seek help, round and round and round.

Is this some kind of cosmic joke? My Libre Office failed me big time this week. Now it won’t let me upgrade. It tells me to then won’t let me.
