I must change reader mode back to single page. I have spent many hours trying. Help

I have been working on an important document that changed into “reader mode” where there are two pages side by side. The document will not print in single page format.
I want this document AND every other document to work in the one long page mode. I have really, actually spent 6 or 7 hours trying to fix this problem. Yes. 7 hours!
The help section requires drilling down multiple layers without a clear explanation of what does what or where the answer is. When I try to use commands that are supposed to fix the problem they do not work. This makes Libre Office unintelligible to me.
I appreciate the work that went into developing Libre, but I have no use for 90% of the program. I’m just a writer, not a developer or whatever.
I hope someone will answer me soon. Thank you.

Yes, that worked. I had looked all over the screen and through many of the “help” files, without luck, so I am grateful.
One of the things was that the this was not on the toolbar at the top of the screen. There are several tools to choose.
At the bottom of the screen, there are also many tools, but they are a very faint gray on the background and very hard to see. How do I fix that?
Also, has anyone thought about creating a Libre Office “Lite” for people like me, who only need a stripped down version just for word processing? without your help, I never would have found that tool. (Because I looked without finding it.)
I think that would be very useful for many other people. Or, at the least, a manual that breaks all of the help files into the different parts of the suite. One for easy manual for Word processing, one for Calc, another for Draw, etc? I think it would make a lot of sense and I know it would be a lot of work for a free project, but it’s a thought.
Thanks again.
One other thing - the Captcha is in German, how do I switch it to English?

I don’t know of a way to change the status bar background color. You may not have noticed (links not always obvious) but all the LO documentation is on this page - click here. Captcha is a long time problem. Different languages all the time.
