Impress Text Animation: Grey Out Already Shown Bullet Points?

In an Impress presentation, when showing bullet-pointed text (possibly with different levels), is it possible to grey out the already shown text?

I can make single bullet points appear separately, but I would like to de-emphasize already shown text by, e.g., making it display in grey font color.

The existing emphasizing animation option shows all text at once and then highlights. So I am searching for a combination of the “Appear” entrance effect and the color emphasis.

Using @Hrbrgr sample from Hide previous text effect - #2 by Hrbrgr instead of having the animation Exit, try Emphasis: Colour Over by Letter and choose Light Grey colour. Cheers, Al

This is what I was searching for. I link the next text item’s appearance with the current item’s emphasis and minimize the “Change Font Color” effect’s duration. Then it looks exactly the way I want.
