JAVA RE not visible (in Options - Advanced) on MacBook M2 Pro

Hi there, I searched in the existing topics about this subject but could not find the solution for this problem: I want to use LO base for which I need a JRE. I installed the JDK version voor MacOS (ARM64 DMG Installer). However I do not see any installed JRE environment in the Java options. And when I look in the installed Java folders every file is greyed out.

Does anyone have an idea? Thanks a million!

LO info:
Version: 7.5.5.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community

CPU threads: 10; OS: Mac OS X 14.1.1; UI render: default; VCL: osx
Locale: nl-NL (nl_NL.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

JRE info:
AVA_RUNTIME_VERSION=“22.0.1+8-16”
JAVA_VERSION=“22.0.1”
JAVA_VERSION_DATE=“2024-04-16”

First: You won’t need Java for Base, if you use internal Firebird. For creating such a database the experimental features have to set ‘on’. When created it could be set ‘off’ again.
Report-Builder and the wizards aren’t available without Java, but all other components will work well.

For Java and Mac: Where does JDK 10.11 go on mac os 10.13
Java JDK? Where? How
Whole JDK is needed for working on Mac, not only JRE.
I don’t know anything about Mac. Have never sit in front of a screen of a Mac. So other people might help if you can’t find a helping link in the different threads here.
