Keyboard scrolling on macbook

Background: Smooth scrolling probably won’t ever be fixed, so using a trackpad or non click mouse wheel is awkward.

To enable scrolling via arrow keys, press scroll lock.
To do this on a MacBook, use f14. If you have no f14 key, use fn+shift+f12 and confirm this with the keyboard viewer in macos.

However, while I can confirm via the keyboard that the keys are being pressed, nothing happens.

I can’t see any settings in preferences related to this.

How are laptop users scrolling in libreoffice calc especially?

Keyboard shortcuts on macOS

Running LO 7.0.4.2 on macOS. Trying to assign keyboard shortcuts in Writer to cause the window to scroll to the top of the next page. Setting aside the fact that LO insists on putting the top of the page where the cursor lands at the middle of the screen, rather than at the top, what keys does this pair of symbols denote?
