LibreOffice calc hangs while copying and pasting text

LibreOffice v4.0.3.3 Calc when text is highlighted, will hang once Control C is pressed to copy the text. It takes several seconds before the cursor will move to a different location and then paste the text. I have never had this problem before. What can I do to get back to simply selecting text, Control C and then instantly moving cursor and pasting text?

LibreOffice Not Responding

While using LibreOffice 4.0.2 (Calc and Writer both) it will unexpectedly go to “Not Responding” after performing any number of commands (i.e., print preview, formatting, printing) and I can’t even kill it using the Windows Task Manager. I am running Windows 7, Service Pack 1. At that point I need to reboot to kill LibreOffice. I have tried to reset the User Profile (using the instructions in https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Faq/General/110), but this only worked for a short period of time…
