Libreoffice cross platform issues - Impress images lose formatting across platforms

Apologies if this has been asked before but I’m not able to find a specific answer.

I have Libreoffice 24.8.4.2 installed on a Redhat machine, Windows 10 (one desktop and one laptop) and MacOS 15.3. Same version of Libreoffice on all 4 machines.

The issue I have is I have created a Impress file (ODP format) with large screen shots in the file and this file was created on the Redhat machine.

Opening the same file on the Windows 10 Desktop is perfectly fine.

Opening the same file on the Windows 10 laptop and MacOS device loses the screenshots size and instead the screenshot gets cropped.

The truncation is basically instead of the full Mona Lisa, it’s zoomed into her nose region and the screenshot formatting is fine. Just the full screenshot is lost and instead cropped.

I cannot for the life of me figure out why the Windows desktop has no issue but the laptop version does along with Mac.

Any suggestions or what to check would be appreciated.

I suspect that you use a HiDPI monitor on macOS and Windows laptop; and non-HiDPI on other platforms.
This is most likely because of wrong size calculations taking into account the current DPI incorrectly - a bug.

Thanks Mikekaganski, you are correct - the macOS and Windows laptop have HiDPI screens however the original source ODP file was done on a non-HiDPI monitors (Linux machine), shouldn’t it be the other way around in terms of wrong size calculations?

Would doing changing everything to HiDPI resolve the issue?

No, that would reverse the symptoms, not fix them. It looks like a bug, and I urge you to file it.
