Libreoffice Writer does not import sheets

In Google Sheet, if a styled sheet is copied and pasted in LO Writer, it’s pasted as a styled table.

In Libreoffice Calc, if a styled sheet is copied and pasted in LO Writer, it’s pasted as an unformatted table, where sheet style (i.e: colors, highlights, and border styles) is not imported.

Try Edit > Paste Special > Paste Special > LibreOffice x.x Spreadsheet for embedded sheet with exact formatting, or
Edit > Paste Special > Paste Special > HyperText Markup Language (HTML) for some formatting (this is similar to what is pasted from Googlesheets)

Yes, I know I can download from Google Sheets directly into .odt format. What I want is: Have a styled sheet in Google Sheets Select all, copy Paste in Libreoffice One expects to have the (1) style and (2) merged cells all imported to Libreoffice just by pasting. But actual result is that it’s no different that “paste unformatted”, and cells are left unmerged. But the opposite works. @Wanderer not quite, the issue is pasting from Calc to Writer

Paste special > LibreOffice x.x Spreadsheet

Works, but it is pasted like an image (can be stretched, etc.) rather than a table.

HTML Paste

Seems to produce the closest result.

Double click the embedded spreadsheet to edit it using Calc tools
