I have used LibreOffice for years with no problem. I got a new computer, and downloaded LibreOffice again. When I add documents from the old computer to the new computer, it only saves 25 documents. If I add another it removes the first saved document. I emailed the old documents to myself and opened them on the new computer.
How do I get it to save more documents?

Hi. It sounds like perhaps you are relying on the Most Recently Used (MRU) list? That list under File>Recent has a limit. However, using File>Open and finding the folder of the files you moved to the new computer should then list all the files.
I assume you’re referring to the Start Center which shows the most recently open documents. This has nothing to do with the maximum count of saved documents. The recent documents list is limited on the ground that the set of documents you are currently working with is rather limited.
The fastest and most reliable procedure is to load documents from your old computer on a USB stick and copy them on the new computer. This does not require to open LO. Just use the OS file manager.
PS: when asking here, always mention OS name, LO version and document save format. This helps provide as hoc advice.
Maybe we are talking about the size of the “Recent Document” list?
If so, then:
Menu / Tools / Options / LibreOffice / Advanced / Open Expert Configuration
Search: PickListSize
Change value of property PickListSize (double click it) to 50 (for example)

EDIT: I can see only 25 documents (versions 24.8 and 25.2 on Windows).
I’m on a Windows 11 pc with LibreOffice just downloaded. When I click on LibreOffice the screen shows only 25 documents. None are more than 3 pages. The same screen on the Windows 10 computer showed more than 25.
If I click open I can see the downloaded documents but if I open one and save it, it bumps another off the LibreOffice screen.
