running windows 10 pro when 25.2 installs it wont run
Where did you find an option concerning "
automatic install"
?
What "
all update"
options of LibreOffice did you disable precisely?
Or are you writing about a setting on system level of Win10 or an add-on to it?
From what source (precisely) did you download the installer for your V24.8.4?
Try step 1 in my comment linked here, Version 25.2.03 will not work on my Win 10 Home. - #4 by EarnestAl
All update options turned off.
Do you have Norton, it includes an auto updater
When I’m remembering right the new MAR-based auto-updates are activated on Windows in 24.8. Before they were experimental. So maybe re-check the settings.
.
But as others wrote: There are several auto-updaters available outside LibreOffice (like Winget, Chocolatey. …) wich have to be configured elsewhere
I have a similar problem, I download LO 24.8.7 and it auto-update automaticcally during the installation to 25.2. I can’t stop it.
I want only 24.8.4
I am on W10 updated
And did you check the checkboxes at tools options?
To avoid updates before you check, simply disconnect from the internet until you checked and saved your settings…
“The MAR-based automatic update available on TDF Windows builds is no longer experimental-mode–only. See Tools ▸ Options ▸ Online Update ▸ Automatic Update. (Stephan Bergmann, allotropia)”
