Permanently change default color for Draw tools in Writer

Hello,

I’d like to know how to change the default color (blue) when I use drawing functions in LibreOffice.
I found a way to change the color to black (using line color) but everytime I work on a new document, it’s back to blue again. I can’t find a way to save it for good as a template.

Thanks

You need to define a new Draw template and set it as default. On an empty Draw document, open the Style editor with F11 and modify the Default style. After changing all the settings you need (background, borders, etc.) go to File → Templates → Save as Template → Give it a name → check the option Set as default template → Save → Done.

EDIT: Sorry, I did not see that it was about Draw objects within Writer. In fact, it’s not possible to set a different default for graphic objects in Witer:

Bug 89369 - Add support for drawing styles (shapes and textboxes) to Writer and Calc

Thanks  but the solution provided is not working. I’m actually trying to change the colors within LibreOffice Writer.

It does work within Draw, but there’s no style option within Writer to change the color of the elements created with ‘Draw’ within Writer.

Sorry, I missed the fact that you were talking about drawing objects in Writer. It’s not possible to set defaults there, see my updated answer.

Hi

As a workaround You can set the color for a “session”: see my answer here.
