I have two pivot tables. The first (Table 2 on Sheet 1) summarises into months and years the count of clients when they first engage us. The second table (Table 3 on Sheet 1) summarises into months and years when clients disengage us . Table 1 calculates the current number of clients by month and year (=running total at the end of last month +number of new clients in this month (Table 2) - number of completed clients in this month (Table 3).
Table 2 is constructed by putting StartDate in the Row Field and Count of StartDate in the Data Field. Once we have the table, data are grouped by Month and Year. Then the year field is moved from rows to columns. Similarly, Table 3 is constructed using data called EndDate
My problem is that when I save the file, close Calc, then re-open the file I get what you can see on Sheet 2. How can I stop pivot tables losing their integrity when I close the file?

I doubt that anyone can help you if you only show copy&paste data, and export it to …xlsx!

I reconstructed the pivot tables and saved in .odf and in .xlsx format. The pivot tables are preserved in .odf format and are corrupted in .xlsx format. Problem solved
