Possible to Omit Headers and Columns in Form Entry

I wish to use the Data >> Form tool to enter data into a group of columns. However, there are some columns that perform calculations and I do not want to overwrite the cells in those columns when I use the form tool for data entry.

Is it possible to select the headers of the columns that I do want to enter data into, or must I reformat or rearrange the columns on my sheet?

Thanks for any help and advice you can provide.

Thanks, that will work for my need. Unfortunately, I have never learned how to write Macros.

Hi Kirk,

there is a way to leave the formulas as they are. You would have to hide the columns with the formulas each time before entering them with the form. Then they will not be overwritten.
If you group the affected columns individually beforehand with the Group command, you can hide and show them together with a mouse click. See also my example.

A macro would certainly also be useful for this.

I hope this helps you.
