After the new update to 25.8.1.1 whenever I click on Print Preview it crashes the program. I send crash reports and then it has to recover my file. This is annoying! I have looked at going back a version but can’t figure out how to do that. Is there help for this?
Please click Help - About LibreOffice, then in the dialogue that opened, just after Version information click the icon with tooltip Copy details to clipboard in English and poster into a new comment
Try to Restart LibreOffice in Safe Mode: Menu Help > Restart in Safe Mode
- If the crash is gone, then the problem is in your user profile
Or maybe just a setting in the Options dialogue. Hard to tell without knowing the details
Hello and thank you for your help. I opened in safe mode and clicked the “print preview” and it didn’t crash. So how do I fix my user profile?
As you haven’t given any details, I’ll have a stab in the dark. Click Tools > Options > LibreOffice > View and tick the box Force Skia software rendering. Allow LibreOffice to restart and test if Print Preview works
I tried the suggestion about the “Force Skia software rendering” and that didn’t work. So it must be my profile and I don’t know how to fix that.
Do you know what operating system you are using? Can you copy the details from Help - About LibreOffice?
So I went into safe mode and followed the instructions and deleted my profile and then restarted LibreOffice and it worked! The print preview doesn’t crash me anymore! Thank you for all your help!
