Print-preview shows portrait, print is landscape.

I have an .ODT file, one paragraph, hand-typed.
Print-preview (properly) shows portrait orientation, but print is in landscape.
Really desire for it to be portrait. Page Format shows Portrait.
How did I cause this?

I have the same issue with ODT and ODS files. I’m running Mac High Sierra. I checked all settings and everything is normal. I tried the same documents in OpenOffice and it works fine using that application.

The relevant facts:
You are using a Mac and OSX (Sierra?).
You want to print on ‘Letter’ paper most likely (or some other outdated USA paper size?).

Landscape vs Portrait printing to Letter paper - size on Mac OSX?

Although Portrait format is selected, documents printed to a “letter” size sheet via MacOS Sierra 10.12.6 print in landscape format. Have to select A4 size on each occasion to get the document printed in portrait.

If your situation is different, please report in detail.

Problem not present in portable app version on HP x2 computer using the same printer as on the mac
