I am a bit confused about snap-guides and glue-points. Please excuse if I use the wrong term.
Want to point an arrow to a feature on an image which I inserted in draw. It attaches to the edge of the image but not anywhere inside.
If it is possible - how do I get about?
Objects and pictures normally already have glue points.
These are located on the outer edge.
You can add glue points and drag them into a picture, for example.
You can also drag connectors to inner glue points.

Glue points can only be created on the bounding rectangle of any shape.
If you need a "reference point on a feature of an image, you must add a rectangle (or some convenient shape) above the image. Attach a connector (not an arrow) to the target glue point.
Only then, group your image and the “dummy” rectangle so that they remain in relation when you move the group. You may have to bring the connector to front so that its ends are always visible.
PS: when asking here, always mention OS name, LO version and save format. In some cases, this helps to provide the right answer due to subtle differences between platforms.
Thanks, this is working for me. I insert a small shape which has glue points. By grouping the arrow stays where it should point to even if I move the image.
When I add glue-points and drag them into the image they disappear as soon as I select another object like my arrow.
