Recently when I access a libreoffice document, I get a grey field that covers over my document. The grey field comes and goes as I move my mouse around, but always comes back. How can I fix this?

Try opening Writer, clicking Tools > Options > LibreOffice > View and unticking Use (Skia or OpenGL) for all rendering. Cheers, Al
