Reproduce footers of WG248-WriterGuide.odt

Problem:
I have tried to replicate the footers of WG248-WriterGuide.odt on Untitled 1.odt (42.9 KB)
But all the pages have same heading and different page numbers.

Goal:
Chapter 01 heading and page numbers in footer for all chaper 01 pages.
Similary for chapter 02 and chapter 03.

Delete the Cross-reference field. With the cursor in that position click Insert > Field > More fields > Document and then in the Type pane select Heading. In the Format pane, select Heading contents.

If you are copying how a field is used, you could click View > Field names to see the name of the field.

NB. You have used Heading 1 for your chapters, if you had to use, say Heading 4 for your chapter numbers, then you would also change the Level from 1 to 4
