Spellchecker on LibreOffice Writer is not working

So, I have installed spellchecking options for Azerbaijani Latin on my Fedora KDE laptop. In the “/usr/share/hunspell/” directory, I can see “az_AZ” .aff and .dic files. If the language is set to English, I can see spellchecker marking incorrect words. However, I do not see the small “ab with checkmark” sign on Azerbaijani Latin when setting the document language. What else do I need to do to make it work. I have installed it a few weeks ago and when I reinstalled it today, the terminal said that it is already installed. How do I fix it? Why is it not detecting it automatically?

My bad, I forgot to add the version details:

Version: 24.8.4.2 (X86_64)
Build ID: 480(Build:2)
CPU threads: 16; OS: Linux 6.12; UI render: default; VCL: kf6 (cairo+wayland)
Locale: de-DE (en_GB.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: CL threaded

Apart from this. Is there anything else I should provide?

I assume you installed the hunspell package(s) with dnf or dnfdragora so that they are installed in the right locations.

I am not sure that spellchecking works only with hunspell of if it needs also some LO language pack to enable it. I looked at available packages under Fedora 41 but could not find any libreoffice-langpack-az. This could explain the failure.

I installed it using the following command: sudo dnf install hunspell-az

Aren’t those 2 files located in “/usr/share/hunspell/” enough? It works for other languages…
