System reject the saving the document

I am trying to save the new or edited Libre Office document. System reject it saying:

" The lock file could not be created for exclusive access by Libre Office, due to missing permission to create a lock file on that file location or lack of free disk space"

Remarck: There is disk space enough

In what folder (path) are you trying to save the document?

… and on which device type (local disk, USB device, local network device, cloud device) on which operating system using which LibreOffice version?

• Operating system: Windows 10 Home, Ver. 2004

• LibreOffice version: 7.0.3.1

• Device type: Local disc C:

  • I have run the programs:

    • Microsoft Deffender (short as well as full control)
    • HP Support Assistant

  No problems found

- The trying to save the document in different folder was also not sucsesfull. The same problem

Please check in MS Defender. Win 10 offers some kind of “folder protection”, where only programs/apps of a special list are allowed to write to your folders.

If this is active add your LO to the list.
The feature is easily avtivated, but needs constant adaption if the system is changed.

Allow LibreOffice access to controlled folder

The below numbered list is from Use the Windows Defender Security app to allow specific apps

1. Open the Windows Security by
   selecting the shield icon in the
   task bar or searching the start menu
   for Defender.
2. Select the Virus & threat
   protection tile (or the shield
   icon on the left menu bar) and then
   select Ransomware protection.
3. Under the Controlled folder
   access section, select Allow an
   app through Controlled folder
   access
4. Select Add an allowed app and
   follow the prompts to add apps. You
   need to allow access to
   soffice.bin
