Table background and border colors not working as intended

this image shows the table on the editing document. the background is pink and the border is the same shade of pink and they transition into each seamlessly

this is how the table shows up in the pdf. there is this pixel tall line between the background and the border lines. is there a way i can change it so that the pdf version appears like the document version?

If I recreate your Writer table, at some Zoom levels (180%) in Writer I can see a fine white line between the border and the fill. It might be a rendering artefact or an actual line. It might be related to the thickness (1.5 pt) of the border line if it isn’t an exact twips multiple.

Try to disable Merge adjacent line styles.

thank you this did half solve my problem. unchecking that box did remove the white line on top of 10 and above, but not between engage in conflict and when you engage in conflict against another character. i solved the other white line by merging the two pink boxes.
