Text Box Content highlights to black while typing

Hello

When I insert a text box into a document in LibreOffice Write, I am unable to edit the text because the line I am trying to edit is highlighted black, with black text. This only happens when I am typing; if i move my cursor away or deselect the text box, the highlighting goes back to transparent like before. please see screenshot

I remember having experienced something like this in a older version (3.x???) of LibO. Currently in 4.3.4.1 I don’t see any problem. — To provide an answer more information is needed.
