Text cursor shadow tail

When I move my text cursor in LibreOffice writer it leaves a kind of shadow tail between each letter - when I then type a new letter it dissapear - why and how do I get rid of that shadow tail?

It is only in Niormal view mode not Web view mode

I have LibreOffice 7.6.4.1. on OS Sonoma ver. 14.1.2
